I'm searching news about De Santi family, coming fom Fano (Italy) in
earliest '900, actually living in CANADA (Toronto and / or Sudbury)
and/or USA.
They should be somehow related to Rupoli family (which is mine).
I live in Italy (Fano) and was able to find my relatives in Toronto.
I'm sure that De Santi is another branch of the family.
(Some names:
De Santi Paterniano Domenico Enrico married Rupoli Maria
De Santi Mario
De Santi Aldo
De Santi Giuseppa..
De Santi Chelso...
and descendants
Thank you.

Thank you so much for the below information. We have been trying to research Marie Louise de la Ramee as I have a coy of a letter she wrote to Richard ARNOLD and in the letter she calls him "cousin". So the hunt was on to figure out how she claimed "cousin". Now I know, Susan Sutton and Richard ARNOLD's mother in law Maria Sutton, were most likely sisters. Well that answers that mystery.
I did try a google search but did not get that much information as this wonderful person did. I would love to know how y
Hi all,
I am researching the "De David" family from Sedico, Belluno, Province
Veneto. The great-grandfather's name was Olivo (or Olivio). He was born in
Sedico on 27.2.1863. Married his first wife Toscana Casagrande (b.
12.07.1862 in Santa Giustina, Belluno/Veneto) on 17.05.1885 and emigrated
with her into Switzerland on 09.02.1897, where she died in Zurich on
16.05.1897.
On 03.03.1899 he married his second wife Maria Giovanna Mezzomo (b.
02.02.1899 in Santa Giustina, Belluno/Veneto) when he was bac
Hello:
I am researching Marie Louise de la Ramee (the author OUIDA) she was born in Bury St. Edmunds in 1839 and died in Viareggio, Italy on January 25, 1908.
My question is it possible to get her death certificate or headstone information. Is she buried in Viareggio ? Can someone advise?

The Cuneo surname might indicate from where the family came from in the
1600's, though the last place where they lived may be another.
Cuneo is a small town in Piemonte, northern Italy, not near Genoa, as you
might already know.

Hello Listers, I am looking for any info on the above families. Were in the
"Little Italy?" section of Providence City from abt 1895 to present. CHIAVERINI
arrived from Italy to The US in 1893, MORROCCO arrived 1890. They probably
went to PA, then RI. The records I have found often have the names spelled
differently on each document. Welcome any help on these illusive families.
Particularly interested in:
1. Rafalle/Ralph CHIAVERINI b 1865 Italy and wife Angelina MORROCCO
CHIAVERINI,
2. Edward CHIA
Sometimes I notice on death records that the last names of both father and
mother of the deceased are the same. Some of them I know are separate
lines: a Mancini married to a Mancini and probably not related at all. But
on others, especially people from a different town and people that died in
the early 1700s, my assumptions is that the scribe didn't know the mother's
maiden and put down her marriage name. I come across about four instants of
this. Sometimes the mother's name is not given at all or just he

Joe,
I have been going through films from the LDS for over 8 years now and in my
humble opinion, I would guess that if you are seeing a woman with the same name
as her husband that's because that IS her maiden name. Italian women (at
least in those days) never took their husband's surname. The name you are born
with is the name you die with. In all instances (that I have seen) where the
surname of the woman wasn't known, it would just have her first name and then it
might say, wife of.... or, mother

Being curious about this writer I had never heard of, I googled her
name a little, here's the result for your curiosity:
OUIDA, the pen namederived from a childish attempt to pronounce "
Louisa "of Maria Louise [de la] Ramee (1839-1908), English novelist,
born at Bury St Edmunds, where her birth was registered on the 7th of
