4. Bertha of Kent 540-580 [1]
Keywords: Something is amiss According to the Latter Day Saints Ancestral File Bertha of Kent provides an essential link between the old Kings of France and Charlemagne. They say she was the mother of Arnoldus by Ausbert. In history I see her as the wife of Aethelbert, King of Kent. Did Ausbert die and and his widow migrate to England, if so why did she leave her son behind. If anyone knows the story please advise, it's driving me nuts.

10. A Merry Christmas To All [1]
Good Morning All! A friend and fellow researcher sent me a wonderful Christmas card this morning and I *had* to share it with everyone! Please receive it in the joy that it was given; I've no desire to incite any flaming discussions, I simply want to pass on what I feel is a *wonderful* message of the season! May God bless and keep you all, and may the true joy of the season wrap snuggly around you! J * S ******* E

13. Moslem future Sultan jilted for Christian nobleman ? [1]
Is this the germ of an interesting story waiting to be told ? : Per Stuart's "Royalty For Commoners" (293:41) & (294:41) the first husband of Oneca Fortun of Pampolona was Abdallah I, Sultan of Cordoba 882/912 (b.842/ d.912). Note that while Abdallah was still living, in 880, but two years before he became Sultan, Oneca married Aznar Sanchez, Lord de Larron. Today is the first day of the rest of your life ! 16. Re: Early Europeans in North America [1]
Apparently some people have found strong links in the Micmac Indian language to Phoenician - Not being a linguist, I wouldn't know how true or untrue this may be. The Micmac certainly lived on the coast of Northern into Nova Scotia and New Brunswick - and there are some indications that Phoencian sailors might have gotten this far, certainly Vikings did (and farther south). I would be interested in knowing if linquists ever did a complete study on all the coastal Native American Languages to see what might
17. Ragnar Lothbrok [1]
Sometime in 1995 (I don't have the date), I posted an earlier version of the article below in answer to an item asking whether or not Ragnar Lothbrok existed. Since Anders Berg has asked me if he can put this item on his web page, I decided to update it and submit it again, and solicit comments, before making any final corrections. The section "Could RAGNALL and LOTHBROK have been the same person?" is new, and was not in last year's posting. The rest is essentially the same as last year's version, with s

I didn't see any come back on this so I'm posting now. I looked in some of the Frankish sources, the Annals of St.Bertin, and saw that Roric is attested in Frisia i

In a message dated 96-12-08 03:10:50 EST, you write: << Was the above mentioned HUBERT DE BURGH the son of William de Burgh, Lord of Connaught (d.1205) and brother of Richard de Burgh, Lord of Connaught (d.1242) ? 23. The Sancho sons of Garcia IV [1]
I understand Todd Farmerie to hold that Garcia IV, King of Navarre (1020-1054) had a son by Etiennette of Carcassonne/ Foix who became Sancho IV, King of Navarre and another son, also named Sancho, who was illigitimate. Which Sancho was the father of Ramiro II (I'm hazy as to of what - Navarre ?). Which Sancho married Constanza of Moranon ? Dis both Sanchos become progenitors of royal/noble lines ?
