11. TAS; AUS; GAUNT Family [1]
Hi all. Greetings from Canada. I am new to the list so have only read a couple of digests but am impressed with it already. My husband is Australian. His g-grandmother, Sarah GAUNT was born in Tasmania according to their marriage certificate. She married James CROYDEN in St. Arnaud, NSW, Australia. No one in the family has been able to locate information about her birth. There is the usual family story that she came from convict parents, grandparents, etc. Her parents were listed on the marriage cer
12. Andersons [1]
Hello James, Saw your posting on Genanz and the item on brand registration had the name of my great uncle Seymour Francis ANDERSON from Tintenbar. In 1889 there were a number of related Andersons brothers in the Casino/Ballina/Kyogle area of the Northern Rivers. There were :- Seymour Francis, Francis Seymour (twins), Charles White, Cecil Harry and Vernon George all descended from Joseph Anderson jun from London. However your Govt. Many thanks to the MANY people who replied to my E-mail about the lack of GENANZ messages at this end. Apparently most are receiving messages as normal, so either I have been cut off by GENANZ as happened to Lindsay, or my ISP is to blame. I'll try re-subscribing first. By the way, Pearl, Tassie isn't the only cold place. It cold here too, and I'm supposed to be in the sub-tropics. Cheers, Leo
