Hi, A little confused. l am trying to trace anyone from the Mckenzie/Mackenzie family from the Oaklands area of Glasgow. My grandfathers name was Regenauld Mackenzie. He was the oldest of 5 or 6 children that were all taken into care. When this happened he changed his surname to his mothers maiden name which was Gibson. I am desperately trying to find out further info re William PATE who lived in Chichester in 1895, was 'apparently' married to Ellen(formerly Sequin late Alty) when she gave birth to twins in Washington Street, Chichester in 1895. He is shown on the birth cert. as a professional cricketer but was clearly not a first class player as I cant find him in the cricket books, Wisden etc. I have found a press cutting in 1895 which says that he was in the middle of a succesful season as an umpire with Priory Park CC
