1. IGI microfiche collection-SCOTLAND for sale [1]
Hello, I have now extracted as much as I can from this fiche data and would like to sell it. (to finance some more research, needless to say!) Hopefully someone else can get as much out of it as I did. This is the FULL IGI fiche collection for Scotland 668 microfiche (with enough envelopes for each), bought about 18 months ago. Quite heavy , so maybe too costly to post outside the UK? Located NE Scotland. I'd like #70 (plus postage..probably #10 for inside UK). Save on shoe leather, buses, petrol

Thank you everyone for your replies and suggestions. We have tried Traceline but they have not found anything. We did in fact try the Passport Office but they couldn't find anything either. Its all very strange because we can't even locate a marriage or death certificate!! Chris B. 6. Re: info required to obtain death cert [1]
Dear Nandina, I wonder if you have had any answer to your message? I don't live far from the Family Record Office and could get a death certificate for you. It looks as though you have the necessary information but it wouldn't be difficult to check your information as Charles Martin Russell is obviously in the Dec 1887 records. In UK pounds it costs #6.50 to get a death certificate and takes about 4 days for it to come through (in the UK). I can find out for you how much $AU it would cost and to send t

11. Little cheverell Beaven update [1]
Further to the George and Anna Beaven message, it now transpires that in the 1851 census they where living with a Ann (senior) Beaven in Little Cheverell. This info has come from the trowbridge records Office, so no doubting the record there. I'm wondering if anyone has got the 1841 census on disc and could look if Ann or Anna where on it. George wont as he was only 4 months in the 1851. Thanks in advance for any help Nigel

Thanks very much for all the information. I have now visited the LDS Family Records Center and ordered the microfiches for the relevant years/quarters (Birth 1906 and Death 1918), and will hopefully be able to view them there in about two weeks time. Kind regards, Mary Tingay

16. Re: Forename Sushanha? [1]
I like to use the name Shosanna sometimes. It is a Hebrew name and is the old form of Susan. When I was a child I couldn't pronounce Susan, and called myself Shooshee. I like to think that at that tender age of two or three I was well aware of my name origins ;-) My mother still calls me Shooshee sometimes.
17. Re: ALL Newbies please read! [1]
Dear Mr. Stockdill, At the possibility of getting an irritable reply from you - how does one find the birth of a relative who died in a certain place in Bedfordshirem but with no record of birth. Surname Ruffhead and plenty of them in places in North Bucks but how do you make a link with Bedfordshire. I am sorry to be so naive but I am, indeed, a newbie. Do you just come to a full stop unless there is a definite link? All right - I shall go to the Soc. of Genealogists and expose my total ignorance but t
