I just wanted to report some good news.
We have two more participants in the project, bringing out total to six now. I'm still waiting for tree information for a couple of them, and of course we're also waiting for the results.
One of the two latest participants has opted to use DNA Heritage instead of Family Tree DNA as their test lab, and the other will be joining the project in a round-about way through Family Tree DNA. With regard to the latter, the sponsor's grandfather change

Just wanted to let you know that we've had someone else join the project. The DNA sample was received back by FamilyTreeDNA this past week, so we'll have about a 7 week wait for the results.

databases to search. I found a "Russell" on the Sorensen that helped alot
because of the contributed family tree, even though they are anonymous:

I've recently read about and tried some other databases for dna results.
Megan Smolenyak's book "Trace your roots with dna" lists several searchable
y chromosome databases in addition to the y-search that most of us are
fam
