I have both names in a query posted on the North America, Canada, Quebec, Montreal board. Have a look.

Hi, This question is for the people researching the Gillespie name in
Washington Co. Pa. Are any of your Gillespie's born in Ireland in the 1800's before

in the same area but can't find any connections yet. I've seen postings for

Hi:
Is anyone familiar with Rudyard Kipling's relation to the Gillespie's? I
believe that our Gillespie name was derived from the name Glasby. I was told by
my grandmother that Rudyard was an ancestor of ours. I know that he had a
piece titled "The Fall of Jock Gillespie", but don't know the inspiration for it.
Thanks.
