Hello to all, Spotted in an antique store in Ventura, CA today: An original marriage certificate for Joseph N. GLIDDEN of Jefferson, Maine and Hannah CRUMMETT of Somerville, Maine who were married at Somerville on 30 Jan 1858. Witnesses signatures were Mrs. Lydia BOWLER and Mrs. Harriet E. GLIDDEN. They were married by Mr. Anson B. BOWLER, JP. This is a 16" X 20" pre-printed form that came from a printer in Cincinnati, OH and has beautiful pastels colors and ornate script headings. Hello William Glidden! So nice to meet someone else digging into the Gliddens! Sounds like you've really been at it awhile! Unfortunately, my look through my records doesn't show anything helpful. I did a quick look on-line, and do see John C. and his family in the Census in Freedom, Kennebuc, ME from 1820 all the way through to 1850, when he's 60 and Margaret's 59, and then John shows up one more time in the 1860 census in Freedom, but without Margaret - he's living with one of his sons, I believe.
