Janice, I would like to know more about Thomas Gordon who died in Culloden, GA. From the information in Erminie Marshall's book, Gordon's of the Deep South, it appears that the date of this Thomas' birth would "fit" as Thomas being the son of Benjamin Gordon and his first wife, Mary ? Gordon. The data in Erminie's book states that Benjamin and Mary moved from SC to Upson Co, GA. The will of Jesse G. 18. Re: Gordons NC/SC/TX/Response [1]
According to verbal history of my Gordon's it is both mixed and unconnected by any verification. First: It is believed that the original migrant to America was a George Gordon who shipped to America from Ireland, along with his pregnant wife and two sons: Alexander and Adam. His third son was born on board ship while crossing to America in 1697. Second: Alexander Gordon and his wife Sarah Clark migrated west from Pennsylvania through the Cumberland Valley to Ohio, then they migrated to Indiana short

22. SC Gordons [1]
Dear SC Gordons, This is not my line. I am posting to try to help others that may be researching SC Gordons. We have several SC Gordons that are participating in the Gordon DNA testing. Many of the more established researchers don't realize how much it will benefit the whole group is we have testers who are sure of their lineage to participate. It gives the other SC Gordons a standard to test against. It will give you many contacts with family members that are certainly related to you. It can a

24. Gordon DNA update [1]
Hello Gordon researchers, I have several things to tell you about. I have made some changes to the website at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gordondna They are mainly on the testing results page. I wanted to show the oldest documented ancestor as well as the test kit number on this page. It took me a while, but finally figured out how to do it. I like it much better now. I think it is easier for people who are visiting our page to see who we are testing for and they can determine

Dear PA Gordons, This is not my line of Gordons. I am posting to the list in the interest of helping other people on their families. We have several Gordon families that are DNA testing from PA. and would like to have a tester that is from this line. Many of the more established researchers don't realize that their testing is crucial to the integrity of the database. It gives the other PA Gordons a standard to test against. It will also give you a broader database and enable you to contact pe
