Hi... Does anyone have a James GORDON b. ca. 1790-95 in MD. with a daughter Mary Ann b. 1819 in MD? I can't read her father's name on her death certificate. It looks like GODMAN/GODWIN but could also be GOODMAN/GOODWIN by taking misspellings into consideration. Her marriage record states the name as GORDON though. But I thought her name was GOODEN. Geri --- Seriously doubtful with what you have furnished. The term "Maritime Officer" covers a multitude of occupations and employers. Hello! I am searching for information about my ggg-Grandfather and his family. I have been able to trace my roots back to John GORDON, which I found in the 1860 Beaver Co. Pennsylvania Census (Industry Twp.). John GORDON was born about 1820 in Virginia (1870 says WVA and 1880 says Maryland and his sons cenus records say he was born in PA).
