My Grattans started with Edward Alport Grafton (christened 1773 Stourbrige, Worcestershire) who later added Grattan to his name - possibly an earlier family link. Edward married Mary Hollinson in 1802, London. They moved to Liverpool and had had 7 surviving children, including Thomas William Grafton Grattan (born 1814), a bookseller, who married Eliza Smith in 1842. One of their three children was Walter Grafton Grattan, my great-grandfather. These Grattans were London-based. Any help? Cathy ----- Orig
