1. [GUS-REEB] Hurricane Ike [1]
Sounds wise to have bided your time with your son near Grandview, TX, Roy. I'm remembering at one time during the storm your area was to have had direct impact. Fortunately, our niece & her hubby @ Clute only lost a few shingles. Take care and best wishes. 3. Re: [GUS-REEB] Hello again [1]
I will miss the list if it ends. I don't really get much time and try catch my emails on Sundays. My life has gotten so busy. We have mandatory overtime at work and this takes up most of my computer time. My oldest son had some minor surgery in VA so mom and dad had to run down there from PA and the next weekend off to TN to pick up other son and bring him home to live in PA. 3 out of 4 kids in the same state ............ whoo hooo. Hopefully this overtime at work will be over soon. I just cannot tak

Gail & Stan, Thanks for asking. I feel a little guilty as we took a mini vacation to our son JD's little ranch northwest of Grandview, Texas where I bided my time dove hunting, fishing, going to see me JD team roping, watching movies, eating out in Fort Worth, grilling steaks, etc. We lost what was in the Frig and a lot of small limbs but otherwise had no damage. The rest of my family had similar effects, Our river we live on did not rise with the storm surge and there was little rain, I believe, because

Diann, I hope you decide to continue as you are. I am a newbie on this list but have learned much already. And I have gained friends. I also feel part of the family even though I married into it. Roy Compton

Hello Everyone, I am thinking of putting the list up for adoption and I wanted to know if anyone on the list would like to be administrator. Please respond if you would like the list to continue. 8. [GUS-REEB] Hello [1]
For those who have answered my reply, I thank you very much. The list will remain and I will be administrator. I appreciate your concern and welcome any information you may have. If you are like me, I think sometimes, that the information I have, would not be of interest, so I do not post. I am going to take a different few of that feeling and post. So you will be hearing from me. Thanks again for the kind words. Diann _________________________________________________________________ Want to do

Hello Diann, I am sorry to have not post since a while but I am happy that you take care of ourself during all that time. I really appreciate your reaction about the fact that some people take the work of others without notified the owner; these people should know how hard it is to do the research and should respect it. Hi Diann, Thanks for promoting the recent activity on the list.B I do read everything, but frequently have trouble responding.B For example, right now I'm in Surimane and have to use a phone line for Internet access - very slow. 11. [GUS-REEB] List [1]
Thanks, you Harlan and Gail for responding. You are the only two so far to respond. For the two of you I will continue until Christmas and see what happens. Most new people go to John V directly and by pass the list. People read the RFA that Shannon has, and there is quite abit of news there, plus if they hit John V's name it goes directly to his email. I don't think we can build the list and that is what I am worried about. There is also allot of information on Gen Forum already and other places. I fe

13. [GUS-REEB] GUS-REEB list [1]
Although most of my rootsweb lists are quiet during the summertime, I hope this list will not discontinue, Diann. A lot has been learned and shared through the Gus-Reeb list...not to mention friendships between cousins and prayers for others. Best wishes to you as you ponder your decision, dear cousin....luv', Gail > Date: Sun, 28 Sep 2008 11:21:15 -0500 > From: Diann Dillow > Subject: [GUS-REEB] Posting > To: > > Hello Everyone, > > I am thinking

I have truly been wondering how you are doing following hurricane Ike, Roy. Did you have any personal damage? My niece lives in Clute. They did evacuate to San Antonio. Fortunately, they only lost a few shingles. Our prayers continue for the residents impacted by hurricane Ike...luv', Gail & Stan

16. [GUS-REEB] Hello again [1]
All List members, I apologize for the last message being all one paragraph. I didn't write it that way but, it did come out all slammed together. If any of you are interested, there are 106 Reebs that came through Castle Gardens during a time period from 1820 - 1913. I haven't looked at the Castle Garden records before and it was interesting. www.castlegardens.org If this message runs all together I will get upset.
