If anyone in the group is interested, here are two young men / boys who
had their surnames changed to GUSTIN, both by "reason of adoption" according
to the official records:
1. Charles Henry Hall's name was changed to Charles Frederic (sic) Gustin
in 1877. His residence at the time is listed as Boston, Suffolk County.
2. Geo. H. Stephens' name was changed to Charles Bradley Gustin in 1892.
His residence at the time is listed as Attleborough, Bristol County.

It will help you to find the films as well as the Enumeration Districts of the towns or larger cities. The LDS film numbers will be different of course than the National Archive film numbers but it will help you to find your town on the films and if there is more than one film for a county, you will be able to find out which film roll to ord
