I want to say thanks to everyone who has been sending out messages.
Every once in a while there's one that pretains to my family, for which
I am grateful.
I keep adding new stuff to my pile everyday. Now, that I have alittle
bit of time I thought I'd better start sharing.
My line is that from Aaron Gustin b. April 5, 1793 and Miriam Flanders
b. Nov. 9, 1799
they lived around Stanstead, Fitch Bay, Quebec Canada.(their Daughter

The book, "ANNALS OF PLATTE COUNTY, MISSOURI" by W. M. Paxton, 1897, is
a marvelous history of Northwest Missouri. The book is on the shelf of
every serious scholar of Missouri history. From a genealogical
standpoint, however, the book is replete with errors and should be
consulted with great caution, if at all.
It is out of print, of course, but the Platte County Historical Society
is planning to order a quantity of reproductions of the original text.
It is a large book and I believe the copies will sell

While I was home for Christmas and New Year's I did some checking and
found Lyman H. Gustin was buried only about 5 miles from my home!
(Kewanee, Ill)Boy, was I surprised.
Anyway, I drove to the cemetery on Jan. 1st. the day before the BIG
storm went thru.
I found him and several other close relatives.
I now need to look up the obits next time I'm home.
Lyman is the son of Aaron Gustin and Miriam Flanders.
