WILLIAM GUSTIN
WILLIAM GUSTIN, one of the intelligent and progressive citizens of Grove
Township, Pottawattamie County, came to his present location in January,
1881.
He was born in Brown County, Ohio, May 1, 1846. His parents are Alpheus
and Polly (Edington) Gustin, both natives of Ohio. The Gustins are of Scotch
extraction, and grandfather Gustin was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. The

CHESTERTON -- Former Anderson resident Deeann K. Gustin, 54, Chesterton,
(Porter Co.) died June 14, 2002, at her residence.
She was employed as a teacher in the Duneland Schools. She also ran the
First Step Nursing School.
Survivors include two sons, John J. Gustin and Jay M. Gustin; two daughters,
Molly D. Gustin and Anne E. Gustin; a brother, Gary Kinsey; two sisters,
Vicki (Alex) Stephens and Christina Kinsey; parents, Francis
While watching the news of the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping, I saw an interview
with the Smart's next door neighbor in Salt Lake City. His name is Frank
Gustin. Does anyone have any idea which line of Gustins he comes from?

Mrs. Flora Simanson ,77, died suddenly at 1 a.m. today in the home of a
daughter, Mrs. William Graham, 8240 Kennedy, Highland, following a heart
attack, which she suffered after returning with Mrs. Graham from a lodge
meeting in Black Oak.
The deceased, a Hammond-East Chicago area resident for 42 years, had resided
with the Grahams following the death of her husband a year ago.
