A visit to a quilting shop will be time well spent for those of you looking
for reproductions of 19th century fabrics. There is a trend to reproduce
many of the antique fabrics used in quilts from the collections of the
Shelburne Museum and the Smithsonian Institution. If you can get to
Gastonia, NC, Mary Jo's Fabrics has a huge selection of these fabric lines.
But any high quality quilt shop can help.

I don't remember seeing the message about photographing tombstones.
However, the WORST time to do it is through the day when the sun is high.
The BEST time is early morning or late in the day when the angle of the sun
can provide enough contrast to help the worn features stand out as much as
possible.
