Looking for a birth on Mary Longobucco born around August 17, 1910 in Riverside (I believe). Her parents were Gaetano and Bernardina Longobucco. They may have been living with someone or visiting a relative when she was born, because they lived in New York. But she (Mary) was born in Ct. according to the census in New York in 1930. She not is not listed in New York in 1920. Any help is appreciated, thank-you.

To all Connecticut researchers,
Please take note that The Hubbell Family Historical Society has in its
library in Hubbell Center in Des Moines, Iowa, a fine collection of over 175 books
on the Connecticut shelf which may be useful to you in your research. While
they are not available for circulation outside the library, Patricia Dawson, our
librarian and curator, will look up items in the books for researchers, and
either e-mail or fax copies to them for a nominal fee for copying, etc. The

Roger,
I'm not sure if I can answer your question as one source said one 1st m. Bethiah // and Abigail Cadwell 2nd (Merrill) and the other source said the other way around. I'll do some checking in books, etc., did check Ancestry and that wasn't any help. I checked CT/Hartford records also but couldn't find anything positive.

Thank you, I do have this census and I am sorry for not listing the
other census records I have for Charles H. or stating specifically 1870
only. I was hoping there might be state cenus for 1875 like there is
for NY State.
I am trying to locate Charles H. Wilson with his parents. For I know
nothing of or about James & Matilda, only what is on Charles H. Wilson's
death certificate

Today is Halloween here... The weather has turned cold, even had some relief rain. So what has this got to do with Irish gen you say....Well, most of you know that "Samhain" (pronounced SEW- en) was our Celts ancestors ancient fire festival at the end of October, celebrating the last day of summer and beginning winter.
Then in the 8th century, the Catholic Church adopted the holiday naming November 1 "All Saints Day". It was a holy day of obligation for any Saint that had no specific day of worship alread
I am at a road block... please visit my webpage if you think you can help me put some pieces of this puzzle together or if you are looking for Geneaology of the Family Surnames: Felber, Hanson, Hansen, Smith, Lippmann, Schindler, Schanz, Luetjen, Hallcher, Beckham, or Kissman.
I would like to hear from anyone who may have association with these families... thanks.

Does anyone know if any of the Stamford papers or libraries have an online

Hi, Heather...
I did some searching for your Felbers (John J and Caroline). You mentioned
that you had the 1910 Census info. I found some 1930, 1920 and 1900 census
info, as well. I will send copies of each census to you for your records
under separate email.

First time on this list and looking for help in finding N. Bakein (BACON?)

I have him in the 1920 and 1930 census. I can't find him in 1910 as it is not indexed. I found him with his wife Anna and family. His son Frank would be about 2 years old in 1910. The name Branca was spelled Brank in 1920. Any help is appreciated, thank-you.

Western Waterman was born in Connecticut in 1793 - 1795, town unknown,
but perhaps near the town of Norwich or Norwick. He fought at the Battle
of Sackett's Harbor, was discharged after the War of 1812 and ended up
with a big family in Missouri by 1860. None of the Missouri family left
knows who his parents were. Does anyone have an idea? Church records may
reveal his birth and who his parents were.
David Waterman
Hi David,
The town of Norwich is the correct spelling that I was searching
for. The document was a birth record for the name
of Drake.Sorry.

I've just uploaded a transcription of the epitaphs in the Beckley Quarter
Cemetery in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. As might be expected, there
are a lot of BECKLEYs buried here, but other names such as NORTH, NORTON,
PORTER & WEBSTER are also prominent and there are many other names as
well. The file can be found at

George E. my apologies for not stating I already have this census.
At the moment, I have no way of connecting this Charles H. Wilson of the

Charles in this census listed is Charles A. born about 1869, which may
be my Great Grandfather Charles G., b. 18 Nov 1868, Fair Haven, CT, d.
