Perhaps someone can tie in with this . So far I have been unable to find the Hacketts on the 1861 census but this is due to lack of access to same.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather and his predecessors.
His name was Richard Ross Hackett. I am very sketchy with respect to his
life. His son Richard Raymond Hackett was my great grandfather and was a VP
with General Motors. He and his family (Frances Edwards was his wife) lived
in Maryland, Texas, and settled in Atlanta where he passed in the early
60's. I apologize for the lack of details. If anyone has any information I
would appreciate it.

Hi list members. I've seen a few posts with this suggestion and I think
this is a great idea when taking into consideration all the things our
government is doing to make genealogy harder and hard with closing
public records, etc. After you fill out the 2000 census, go and make a
copy of it and keep it in a safe place with all your other important
records. After you pass on, and your descendants continue the work you
have started, they will not have to wait until 2072 to see the census
info since they'll

Richard,
I am looking for information on William L. Hackett,
his wife, Orcelia Burtch, and descendants (if any).
In 1889, he was a Methodist minister in St. Paul,
Minnesota. From 1873 to 1881, he served a variety
of congregations in southwestern Ontario, Canada.
On September 9, 1874, William L. Hackett married
Orcelia Burtch at Oakland, Brant County, Ontario.
The marriage record indicates that he was aged 23,
was the son of William and Jane Hackett, and had
been born in Canada. His wife, Orcelia, also

Hi,
I am looking for information about Martha Heckert, born 1909 in Newark, NJ.
I think her mother's maiden name was Dominick (born in West Prussia) but I
don't have given names for either parent. Her parent's died when she was
young. At the age of eleven she is living with an aunt and uncle.

Hello, my name is Catherine this is my first time writing to this website. I am trying to locate any information about my great-great grandmother Bridget Hackett. She was born in Ireland circa 1825, not sure when she came to the U. S. or what port she came into. I suspect it could have been Boston or Rhode Island. She was married to Patrick Connelly(different spellings found) and lived with him in the Providence, RI area. They had two children that I know of James F. b. circa1860 and Sarah Ann Connell
