They came from Liverpool on the ship Constellation on October 24, 1849. With them on the ship was another family of Hackett, I am presuming that it was James' older brother and family.

Hello Erin Bradford and a heartfelt thank you enormously much for the message regarding all genealogists adding a codicil about their heirs or administrators "finding a good home" for what is sometimes thousands of hours of research. I was once at a "Yard Sale" in Santa Barbara's upscale suburb of Montecito where I saw the young man -- the heir -- had piled boxes and files of old family photos and memorabilia on card tables in the garage and driveway for sale for to all comers for 5c, 10c or whatever

Hi all. The "Genealogy Depository" for the Barringer, Black, and Bradford surnames has been updated. I still need to update the other surname, and hopefully that will be done at the end of next week. As some of you may have noticed, I have been doing some "spring cleaning" with my web site. With all the pages I had, it was getting too confusing for me to keep everything in my main folder.
