Hi Elizabeth -
You asked if I had done the census work on Thomas Russell Hackett.
Guess my answer would be "yes, but". I have made a run at the Census
back through 1870. Found the family listed twice in Louisville, KY in
one of them. I need to revisit my records (and, truth be told, organize
them a bit) so that I can see where I am. In the 1870 census I found a
wholesale liquor dealer name of Thomas Hackett with wife Maria and
family who I think may be my man, but not convinced yet. There was a

I'd like to meet my great-grandmother's half sister, Lena Hackett who was born
in 1902. My great grandmother is still alive yet never meet her sister. I
have tried finding her but can not. I have a half sister and couldn't imagine
never knowing her so mostly I want to meet Lena for my Grandma.

Hi Bill, and all
Sounds like a nice idea. However, I'm afraid I can't supply you with a
HACKETT
Directory of my own. I am helping Erin out as a favor to her, and have no
other
connections with her as far as genealogy is concerned.
I understand from Erin that she usually chose a Word for the Week. I would

This is in response to Cory Hackett's listing:
There have been a couple of us who have been delving into the family of
George & Nancy Hackett. They are listed in 1810 in Washinginton Co.PA
with 2 males under age ten, 3 daughters under ten.
George served as a scout for Bealls Army as it moved through part of
Ohio during the War of 1812. He returned to Blooming Grove Twp.,
Richland Co. in 1815 after the war and was one of the first settlers in
the area.
1820 census has for children: 3 males under ten, 1
Dear Nola,
Thanks for the info, maybe we can start making some sence of this now. I had
wondered myself if George and Peter where brothers. I how ever did not know
where Peter was born or came from. I assumed Washington County, but didn't
know. The Peter you listed below is the Peter i was talking about. The son
age 12 (William) you listed was my Great, Great, Grand father. I knew that
Peter was married to Chatharine, but did not know of a wife before then. Any
info you can give me would be appreciated, and

My oldest Hackett is Joseph Owen Hackett, born about 1840, in Ireland.
Married Mary McKenna, born about 1841, in Ireland. Came to Ohio,
Lorain Co. about 1861. Joseph's father was John Hackett, born in
Ireland, but I don't have dates.

The oldest Hackett in my line is Edmund Hackett, born about 1800 in Co.
Tipperary (town/parish unknown). He married Bridget Sexton. Had one son
that I know of, John, born 1834 in Tipperary. There were probably other
siblings.
John emigrated to the US about 1854 and married Ellen Gleason. They settled
in Newton, MA (near Boston).
Hi,
I'm looking for any information on Bridgett or Dehlia Hackett. She was
born around January 27, l880, in Wexford, Ireland.
Bridgett immigrated to Philadelphia, Pa.
Her husband's name was Charles Noonan.
Bridgett's parents names were Thomas Hackett, and Mary Ryan. Bridgett
Hackett, and her husband had at least three children,
Charles James Noonan,
James John Noonan,
Elizabeth Noonan.
The above information is word of mouth.
James John Noonan was my father, and Bridget
My G-G-G Grandfather was Ziba Hacket/t, born 17 Feb. 1813 in New Jersey or
New York. He married Elizabeth Myers around 1838 (location unknown). Ziba
can be found in Hunterdon Co., New Jersey from 1840 to 1855. There are
other Hacket(t)'s in Hunterdon Co. but I am not sure how they tie into my
Ziba. This Hacket/t family left Hunterdon Co., NJ in 1855 to settle in
Bureau Co., IL where Ziba died 8 Jan. 1879. I would love to find his
parents and siblings.

Folks....
Please send your word for the week submissions to the HACKETT-L@rootsweb
list address. I'm sure you'd rather have someone with HACKETTS in their line
view it rather than me personally. I don't have a one, as far as I know at
this point.
Thanks!
