I found some more info that my grandmother Olive Mary Moody wrote down (and
some which is not her handwriting I think). At the time I saw it, I couldnt
place it. I will write it exactly as she has it (and in the same order).
Maybe it will give you some leads. And if you have any explanation for it,
let me know!
First though, I have a different spelling and marriage date of Serepta
Leavett than your info. My grandmother spelled all Leavetts as "Leavitt". She
also spelled her first name as Sarepta. The
Hi,
I have added the Guckian/Hackett - Co. Leitrim Baptism Records, LDS Film
1279223, Carrick on Shannon, Parish of Kiltoghert 1827 to 1854, to my web
page at:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/3613
As you know these films are very hard to read so please let me know about
any additions, corrections or deletions that need to be made. The original
names aren't always spelled the same--I tried to copy them as they were
originally written.

Thanks for this info. The Vermont Vital Records did not list any children for
Elizabeth and Kimball. Kimball is the father of Helen? And you believe all
the other people listed are Kimball and Sarepta's children? Do you know of an
Ina? Is that a knickname for one of these children? My grandmother had down
she was married to a Will Pierce (NOT Albert Pierce, as Emily was). If not, I
have no d.o.b. for her.
Also, is this line of Hacketts from Ireland? I didn't know that. Thanks again
for the info.

Hello everyone. I just recently had a stroke of genius...ok, that may be exaggerating, but... :o)
Basically, this is my plan. I am wanting to take everyone's (or almost everyone's) posts that they have sent to the list concerning the last 2 "word of the weeks" and continuing, and put them on the webpage by state. What is the purpose of this, since there are the list archives? two big ones...
1. So people who don't know about the archives can see the posts so you, the list members, can benefit from mo
Hello everyone. I'm back from vacation and ready to get things started. This weeks word is ....Kentucky. Below are the instructions, please read it, especially if you've just recently (in the past month) joined the list.
WHAT TO POST:
If you have any info on a person with the surname of the list who is from KY, whether directly or not to you, post the info and their line (if you have more than just them) to the list. This might be a census entry, birth entry, marriage entry, etc. Whatever you have. D

bedroom!:)....anyways...
This week, we will do the word "Pennsylvania" so if you have anyone with the
surname of the list from PA, p
Hi,
I finally put up a web page. Not much on it, but I have a page on my Hacketts and McKennas of Ireland and Ohio. Check it out and let me know if you have a connection.

Dean, I am not related to your Hacketts; I am just responding to your post
with
an analysis of the births/deaths/marriages you provided. It was
customary to
purchase a new Bible when two people were married. They wrote their own
birth dates in and their marriage date. Then when the wife died, as in
your
case, her death was written under deaths. The husband's next marriag
