Marriages before 1901 are being compiled and put up on the Illinois web page
http://www.sos.state.il.us/depts/archives/marriage.html
There are a lot of Hacketts.
It is said my Hackett line came into KY via IL or MO from Hackettstown NJ.
If anyone out there has these migrations please lets get together on our
research.

I am new to the Hackett mailing list, and this is my first query.
I am seeking information on the parents of my great-grandmother, Rachel Emma
Hackett, who was born 19 July 1850 in Pennsylvania. She married John Quincy
Adams in Pittsburgh on 8 May 1867 (Rev. W. S. Grey officiated). The couple
lived briefly in Pittsburgh and then in Columbus, Ohio. They moved to
Lincoln, ME (Johns home town) by 1872, and she died there 3 Oct 1928.
I know literally nothing about Rachel Emma Hacketts parents, except th

daughter of William and Elizabeth Lowe Glanville of Co. Westmeath).

Hackett seekers,
I am hoping that someone out there might have some information on
a Polly Hackett born 1/30/1788 or that is the date I have on my "mystery"

Saratoga, NY. They had 10 children: David, Lydia, Jonathan, David Sopia,

Polly was my ggg grandmother through her daughter Mercy.
Does anyone know where Polly came from or who her family might be?
As Polly is a nickname
Looking for relatives and/or parents of Justus Whitnaught Hackett, Sr.
Thought to be born in eastern county of NY about 1808, could also have
lived in
Vermont, Conneticut or Mass. Then moved to Wilson, NY abt 1830.
Cannot find his parents or siblings.
In 1790 NY census there were only three Hackett's in NY Daniel, Sam and
Joseph.
Suspect Daniel may be his father. Any leads. If we are related I have
everyhing below Justus W. Hackett, Sr to today. Charlotte

Do not have a link to this Hackett...However, I am researching the Hackett
name (maternal grandmother's maiden name) in the NY and PA area. Can you
give me any more about Vivian's father?
Also, it is an incredibly small world, I live just on the other side of
Green Tee, in Pearland by the City Hall. I am assuming from street name
Sagelink that you are located in Sagemont Subdivision??
Give me any other names or leads that I will review my tree and see if I can
link.

I believe I may also be linked in some way to this branch of the Hackett
family in Maine. I have traced my line back to Jacob Morrill Hackett and
Lydia Wilson Clark. I am descended through their son Edwin Augustine Hackett
of Brunswick ME. I believe Jacob was the son of William and the grandson of
Moses Hackett of Minot or Mechanics Falls, ME ? Any insight into this branch
of the family, including records, history, and links to other branches would
be much appreciated.

Apparently Hacketts were Indians or Indian traders, as I found them
listed in the index of a book called "South Carolina Indians, Indian
Traders, and other ethnic Connections Beginning in 1670."
The book index is listed at http://members.aol.com/rarebk
Go to the booklist page, and then scroll down till you see the book, and
invoke the index.
The site also has the 1835 Cherokee census listed within a Cherokee
Genealogy "tutorial" and other Indian lists and genealogical data.
