The other day when I submitted a data summary on the New England
Williams', especially in Bristol County, Massachusetts and all those
that went to Maine, I forgot to include the Hackett connection which also
goes back to the "Mayflower". Here is the line:
This Mayflower line stems from Jabez(1) Hackett first of Lynn, MA in
1644 then of Taunton, MA in 1654, re, George(3) Hackett (John(2),

Hello lists:) it's that time for the word of the week and on another of my
lists, someone mentioned it would be great if they could get
recommendations for web pages pertaining to that list. I thought that this
was a great idea because not only could it help others on the lists, I can
get these addresses to add to my homepage this summer so they will always
be accessible even if you forgetthe address. So that is your job this week
is to post addresses. If you don't know any webpages but know of some

GenForum right now is a very hot debate with other listowners at this very

Hello list, this was sent to me about a year ago on my particular line. I
have seen Hackett queries (not necesarrily on this list) for Sangoman Co.,

Hello lists:) I want to tell all of you I am going to be moving to
Raleigh, North Carolina to go to school and I will be leaving June 2nd. I
have people to take over my lists temporarily and I expect all of you to
treat them as you do me:) I should only be gone a few weeks at the most, I
just need to get settled down in Raleigh and look for a job and find the
computer labs on campus as I will not have a computer because I have to
leave it for my little brother or pay a very large shipping charge and with
Hello everyone, This was sent to me today by Brian Leverich of RootsWeb.
This is especially useful for new members to our lists, but useful to
everyone. Please don't overload the system though:) and if you can't
access the sites, just try back later, they are new are still being tested
to an extent and a lot of people are going to be trying these places at
once so be patient if you can't get right in. For those of you who have
donated money to rootsweb, you can give yourself a little pat on the back

Does anyone have a Margaret HACKETT b. 1880? I have just started on this
line so have very little information. She married Francis Larkin
Riley/O'Riley. I have most of their descendants but nothing farther back
than Margaret.
Thank you,
Terri
Hi All,
I have a John Hackett, married to a Mary Egan in 1883, in Summit
County Ohio, who I believe may be my great great uncle. Does this
sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks, Laura

I saw your e-mail and response regarding providing additional info to Mr.
Webster. My grandfather, Raymond Edward Hackett (he had a sister Mary) was
born in Darke County (Greenville), OH in 1886. All I know of his relatives
is that he had a sister named Mary. I guess its not inconceivable that
Raymond is related in some way to your Jeremiah. Since I am having trouble
tracking Raymond E.'s kin, any info on Ohio Hacketts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark Hackett

Looking to connect with anyone with information on Sumner Socrates
Hackett and his wife Emily Sargent Wright. Lived in Caribou, ME in
1880. Both were probably born approx. 1845 - 1855. Family legend has
this line of Hackett's as ship builders on the Maine coast, but no
confirmation to date.
With a name like this - certainly someone has heard of him?

Before what became Cherokee Nation??? Are you saying you don't know where
Jeremiah came from? Where did he marry Sarah? Have you given us the 11
children already? I find Thomas' name of interest because an Eliza Hackett
on the GA/SC border married a Thomas Patton Jarrett b

I appreciate your posting this information. I found several dates and
places I did not have.
You probably already figured this out, but these are the descendants of
Emery Hackett & Abigail Hines. Emery is a descendant of Capt. William
Hackett, the progenitor of my line.
Could you please send me the exact source information for this bible
record? [film number & title, book title & author, etc]
Thanks,

This was taken from a DAR resource found at the local FHC. Hope this
helps someone out. I'm not sure if they are related yet as I have not
researched this line for my family. Let me know if you're related.
