Hello,
My name is Debra and I am a Hackett from home. I have been trying
to find out where in New York my GGGreatfather Nathan Atrides Hackett,
since it seems all Hacketts at some point came from that area! I do
know he left his wife Sarah (Washburn), two sons and five daughters
behind in Michigan to find gold in California. According to Sarah's
obituary (10/13/02) Nathan died in California
Please reply to the person below and not to me, I'm just forwarding

I would like to hear from "Howard" or anyone else looking into Hacketts in
New York. My Andrew Hackett was born February 20, 1809 in Painted Post,
Steuben County, NY. He married an Olive Hall February 22, 1835 somewhere in
NY. They moved west and settled in northwestern Illinois. Andrew remarried
later in life and moved to Iowa.
Thanks,
Captain Lawrence Smith
