Thanks for enriching my life with your sharing and wisdom. Thanks for

My name is Duncan McIntosh and my Hacket line starts from from my maternal grandmother. My direct line hail from Templecarn, Pettico,Fermanagh, Ireland and therefafter Glasgow, Scotland. Insofar as I am aware they are all Roman Catholic. I am told that one branch from Glasgow stemming from a Grand Uncle John Hackett had children who went to the USA in the 1950's or '60's. All my own direct line are in the UK.
Briefly my line reads as follows:

My Kentucky Hackett's were said to have come from Hackettstown NJ through Mo
and IL to KY. Family lore is they lived at one time near the James Gang
Hideout which I think is Merimac Caverns in IL. Can anyone confirm or deny
this?
Also do any of you trace your Hackett line on to KY on the KY River?

HI, Duncan Welcome to the Hackett list, especially with your Irish
Hacketts.
Thanks for posting your line so clearly.
I am hoping Tricia Hackett Nicola will respond to you as her Irish
Hacketts
are at least more in your area than are my Munster ones. Today is
Thanksgiving in
the USA, and many people have a four-day weekend, so don't expect to hear
from
anyone here just yet.
I have located Tricia's post from last year and will copy it below.
