While messing around with Alta Vista today searching for references
to Castlearmstrong, home of some Church of Ireland Hacketts in the 19th
century up into the 20th, I came across this discussion in the Irish govt
in 1931. This was part of the Land Commission and ended in the house at
Castlearmstrong being demolished and the stone used to make a road. I have
never found any proof that the Hacketts owned Castlearmstrong, but they
certainly lived there for a good long time.
