I recently received some snail mail from Ruth Hackett which contained a
photocopy of a page titled "PEOPLE OF PEACHAM, VERMONT"
The page that was copied was page 137.
Here's the hackett info:
Ephraim Hacket in 1820 had a family consisting of 1 male under 10 yrs of
age; 1 female under ten; 2 females 10-16; and 1 female 26-45.
Source Census, 1820
Can anyone identify this Ephraim Hacket?
Howard Johnston

me back.
My Great Grandmother is Ida.

Having looked again, I'm certain this is the correct Alamaron I have -
in my notes, wife is Mary, here Maria... I have added a notation to his file
that he moved to Genesee Country, Cattaraugus Co., NY then to Wisconsin territory.
He married Mary when he was 25. Only child listed at the time of this information
was Edward. Unsure what happened to Edward (where he went, etc) but am pretty sure I have
the right family. If anyone is interested in more info., please e-mail me privately with questions
you
Dear Hackett researchers
We normally correspond on issues relating to Irish history and specifically
the Hacketts (i'm descended from the hacketts of Clonmel, Co Tipperary,
Ireland).
This e-mail message is about a very different subject - a major
humanitarian crisis in East Timor - a small country just to the north of
Australia, which recently voted for independence but which has been
subjected to a week of unprecedented turmoil, which the Vatican has called
'genocide'.
The horror of what is happening -

Hi,
I am new to the list and was wondering if anyone out there is researching
Hackett in Brooklyn, NY?
I have done a lot of research, starting around 1862. I believe my Hackett's
came from County Waterford, Ireland.
Some of the first names of some of the Hacketts (in the 1870s) I have are:
Jeremiah, James, Dennis, Patrick, Edward, Thomas, John, Morris
They married woman with the names : Foley, Logan, Murphy, Meade, Monoghon,
Killigrew, Egan and Cunan.
These Hacketts lived in the Bedford Stuyvesant sec

Thought I would pass this info along to the list. I know we have some
folks researching Hacketts in KY and this is an excellent resource you
should be aware of.
There is a PETER HACKETT listed in this Tip.

I am unaware of any of my Hacketts being in the Oxford area. However it is
possible because several branches of my family (Byrne, Murray, Britt) ended
up there sometime during the latter half of the 19th century and were there
as late as the 1940's.. I have a few details if this rings any bells.
I have found out that Valentine Hacketts parents were John Wesley
Hackett and Elizabeth Anne Munyon or LaMunyon. Valentine b. 28 Sept.
and d.Nov.1954 in New Jersey married to Dorothy Carroll b.25 may 1911
d. July 1974. But I can't find a John Wesley Hackett m. to Elizabeth
Anne Munyon. Is there these people in the lines of anyone out there. I
am getting
there. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi,
I've added the "Hacketts in the 1850 census" to my webpage. So far I've
only got Alabama-Illinois up. It's at:
