Calvary Cemetery in Richardson, Dallas Co., TX) and Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Huffhines (b. 25 Aug 1840 in Simpson Co., KY, d. 11 Oct 1916 in Hollis, Harmon Co., OK, buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 7. Winnie Brunetta Halsell [1]
Looking for information on Winnie Brunetta Halsell (Murphy). Her parents were supposedly John Halsell and Polly Deaton. Winnie married a John Murphy and lived in Arkansas and Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma prior to statehood. I was told repeatedly that the Halsell's recieved "Indian land in the Webber's Falls area" but I have not been able to confirm this. Thanks for posting the web address for the photographs of Sarah B. and W.E. Halsell's gravestones. I found it curious that W. E. Halsell was buried in a common grave with his mother, Nancy Harris. I'm also wondering if anyone can explain the discrepancy in Nancy's dates on the new headstone (b. Oct. 13, 1813, d. Dec. 15, 1896) and those on the old headstone that sits atop the new one (b.
