1. Re: [HANDLEY-L] Hanley ancestry [1]
Finally someone who just may connect to my Handley's. I am searching for Handley's who lived in New York. They originated in England. I have a Samuel Handley born in England who had three sons and three daughters, some or maybe all of which came to America. I am only sure of one and he was W.T. or William, married to a Barbara and they lived in Brooklyn at the same home all of their lives. In a letter I have from them, they mention going to Florida and they mention Wills widow Dorothy. I don't know wh

Hi folks, I'm glad to see that there are some others researching Hanley in the New York City / northern New Jersey area. Perhaps you have some information that ties in with these names. Would greatly appreciate any info concerning John Hanley and/or his wife Elizabeth , whose maiden name I believe was Hoare. They had 5 sons: John , James , George, Joseph whose date of birth was 6/13/1914, and Daniel. Joseph was my father. They lived in the NYC and northern New Jersey area (Passaic for some time). Many thanks.
6. [HANDLEY-L] Logan. Ewell McK, Ewell Wilson and Era handley [1]
I am trying to verify the lines preceeding my grandfather Era Wilson Handley born 5/24/1887. Family stories have it that Era's father was Ewell Wilson Handley, his grandfather was Ewell McK )I think this is McKinley) Handley and his great grandfather was Logan.I find very little on Era's father Ewell Wilson who was born between 1858 and 1862. Ewell Wison Handley was married to Sarah Amanda Rous who died of TB in 2/1888. Ewell Wilson was said to have 2 other children besides my granfather, both born before h
