1. John HARP, Phila., Montgomery & Bucks Co's [1]
I would appreciate hearing from anyone with information on John Harp born abt 1794 in PA. His wife was Margaret Unknown born abt. 1802 in MD. Children were JOHN, ANN REBEKAH, JACOB & MARY CATHERINE. John Harp lived and owned land in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties in years dating from Philadelphia 1820's to Bucks Co.1840 thru 1875. John was a Tailor in Philadelphia, and a Farmer in Bucks Co. I will be glad to share any information I have from 1820 forward. I NEED information prior to 1820

Hi Elizabeth, Just wanted to touch base. Sure wish I could be of help, as the Harps are my very favorite ancestors. Internet research says Thomas Marion Harp came to the US in about 1760, but my earliest research is the 1830's in Newton Co. Ar. and I feel pretty confident about that info, but prior to that is a lot of legend and stories that have been passed down.
