A few months ago I received an email from a fellow researcher who had been reviewing HARP families on the Jackson and Clay, TN county census records around 1870 and 1880. She had come across an ALBERT or ALFRED DENTON enumerated with a HARP family on one of these censuses.
I have emailed her several times asking for more information and have not received any answers.
Does anyone have any Harps that have a Denton enumerated with them in either of these counties?
Thanks very much,
Linda Elliott

I received an email quite a few months ago about a HARP family in Jackson or Overton County TN on the 1870 or 1880 census who had a DENTON living with them.
I have tried to get more information about this but the original source is not emailing me back. Has anyone run across a Harp with someone named Denton living with them in this area of TN in either 1870 or 1880?
My Harps are Hillary Tillemon Harp who married Sarah Atcheley. Their daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Maudie" Harp was my great-grandmother. She was

I am trying to find any information on James Harp, born around 1790. He
married Olive Scarborough. Some of their children were: Aron Harp; Henry
Harp (my ancestor, born in 1828 in Laurens County, GA); Matthew Harp;
William Harp. James died around 1845 in Dooly County, GA. Olive remarried
a Jeremiah Walker. Anyone having a connection to this line, please get in
touch with me. I will be glad to share what I have. Thanks.
