To whom it may concern: I am trying to contact descendents of a A. J. Heller, who was born in the mid-1800's. A man with this name married a great-great aunt of mine whose maiden name was Sarah McCray. She was born in 1855. Mr. Heller and my aunt probably married sometime between 1875-1885 but that's only an educated guess. They lived in or around Oakland, Ca and presumably raised a family in that area. Corinne, I have a 4th great grandmother Catherine Heller who married Rev. John Nicholas Schmucker in 1800 Va. I have no proof Catherine was of a German immigrant however we believe she was German as was her husband. I have Catherine's father listed as John Heller from marriage record and in that time frame and area their was a John Heller marriage who was young enough to be my Catherine's brother My only possibilities are these three--John the father , Catherine and John her possible brother. John Nicholas Schmucker in 1800 Va. whose father was John Heller possibly from Maryland or Pa.
