John's son Joel Hill is said to have moved "at great distance", and this great distance is to, I believe, Madison Co. Kentucky, where a Joel Hill lived adjacent to my gggg grandfather, Abner Hill. I had long believed that there was some connection between Joel Hill and Abner Hill because of the fact that they lived so close to each other, but the crucial piece to the pu

I am interested in the Hill Line from Amelia Co. VA. Our line is Pleasant Hill (b 1780 in VA) m Adelphia Hawk (b 1791 in VA) and moved to Franklin Co., TN before 1820. There is a Pleasant Hill in the 1810 census in Amelia Co. Va. The ages of the children fit the Pleasant Hill family even though the age of the woman in the hhold doesn't match with the age Adelphia would have been. Does anyone have any other early information on this family? I have traced most of the children of the family from Franklin

In the one Volume is an article by a Margaret Timbs of Johnson City TN...who I've never tried to write...her address is in the book but I have no idea if it is still valid. Her article is

Mel: I am interested in William Hill who I think may have been a brother or some connection to Francis Hill. We believe Francis Hill was born in NJ, about 1790, lived in IN, Fulton Co., IL before settling in 1852 in Louisa Co. IA. We found a William in the same area, as well as a John, but so far we haven't been able to connect or prove Francis Hill's parents. He had a large family. Francis Hill died in Louisa Co., IA in 1860 and is buried in the Oakland/Carpenter cem. I would appreciate any help from you
