Some of the children of Capt. John Holder lived in Miss. Off hand I do not
remember the county, but one descendant was (I believe) a General in the
Confederate Army. I am at work and don't have access to that material, but
when at home, I will look it up and e-mail it to you.
I also have information about Capt. John making a trip up the Tennessee
River for the purpose of establishing an outpost in Miss. This was during
the time that the southern part of what is now the US was owned by Spain. He
was working

According to 1880 Census, he was bron about 1833 in Ohio. I believe
someday, I will tie into all the long line of Hold

I am descended from Christopher Muench and Anna Maria Barbara Holder
who were married on 8 Mar 1757 by Rev. John Casper Stoever. I am
trying to identify her parents. There was a Nicholas Holder in the
same region at the same time. It is not unreasonable to assume that
there was a relation between the two; unfortunately, I haven't been
able to find any proof thereof. Does anyone have any information
concerning these two Holders?
