Hello.
I'm looking for someone who I assume from the URL in the subject line is
named RUTH HICKMAN. The reason is that I did an online family report with
FTM and this URL is listed for ANNA HEGEDUS. I'd like to reach this person
because I think they might have some information I could use. The reason
is that in my report results it states that this URL also has information
about the THOMAN name. ANNA HEGEDUS is my maternal grandmother and married
JOZSEF THOMAN, my maternal grandfather. Because of the

This also occurred with my paternal great-grandparents who were Welsh/English in
Pennsylvania/Ohio. They had an son Arthur who died 3 months after he was born, and
they named their next child Arthur. Infant/child mortality was much higher then so
rather than let a name pass, especially if it had some significance in the family,
they used the name for a subsequent child--just a guess.

Hello Mary,
It could be very possible that before 1874, the Catholics attended

Hi fellow searchers. I am looking for any relatives that go by the
above surnames. My great grandfather was John Csomos born 1824
near Feldebro Hungary. He married Katona Apolo. They had three sons
Steve, Lawrence and John. Two of the brothers Lawrence and John
married two sisters, Anne and Barbara Szepesi. I would like to make
contact with any one who may have information about these families.
I have been in touch with Joanne Bixby (a fellow searcher) previosly and

I can answer part of your question
I am not sure about Jules my mother in law states
that it could possibly be Julius but I have found
nothing in my reference material to prove or disprove this.
What I do have in my reference material is below
Julia = Julia
Juliet = Julia
Julius = Gyula

Hello, fellow researchers in Hungary. I have been going through parish
registers attempting to locate my ancestors. My great grandfather's
death certificate gives his name as CHOMORO, and his wife's death
certicate spells her name CHOMOR. I have also discovered the variations
of CSEMER and SZOMORO in the parish records and am wondering if these
are all the same surname. My mother's family spelled their name Chomor,
but I understand that in Hungarian the Cs makes the Ch sound in English

There was a huge nut tree by the cemetery fence. One day two boys
filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight,
and began dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you,
one for me," said one boy. The bucket was so full, several rolled out
towards the fence. Cycling down the road by the cemetery was a third
boy. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the
cemetery. He slowed down t

Interesting question. I thought Godparents were usually a couple. My
own Godmother and Godfather were. I wonder how a Godmother and
Godfather would raise a child if necessary if they were not living in
the same household? BTW, they were not relatives, but good friends.
But that's probably due to the fact that no relatives were in
