From the 1920 census, it looks like Otis and Maggie's children were Charles (b. ~1907), Fred (b. ~1909), Jennie L. (b. ~1911), Ida M. (b. ~1915), and Thomas (b. ~1919).
I can't tell for sure but it looks like Otis' line is:
Otis\William H.\John\William\GEORGE\Philip

The girls were presumably all adopted. There is Ethel who we believe to be the Grace mentioned in the news article' Beatrice, also listed in the article' and Olivia. However, Olivia Myrtle is not noted in the paper. There is a Carl. what a puzzle I now have.

The missing father of this family was named Daniel. This family moved to Licking County in the 1850s, and one record in Licking County claims they came from Beaver County, PA. I haven't found Hupps living there that early, though. Some Hupps moved there in the early 1900s who were descendants of Phill

Tim,
I have Joshua in the census living with many siblings and who I presume to be the mother. Do you know when and where the father died? I cannot find this info.
I am also confused as to why the newspaper article list four children for Amzi and Meg; two girls and two boys. We of course have all of Dewey's info

I don't know when Daniel died. Presumably it was between 1847 and 1860.
I was aware of only three of Amzi's children: Dewey, Olivia, and Beatrice.

The names were the ancestry line. The ones who I think (don't know for sure) were Otis' brothers were:
John C. (b. ~1873) and Stephen (b. 1879), and there was a sister, Sarah L. (b. ~1869).
