Library of Congress Makes Confedera
Hi all! It's your list moderator here. As most of you are probably aware, I
maintain a seperate website for all the surname lists I moderate here on
Rootsweb (Barringer, Black, Bradford, Coventry, Eller, Hackett, and Kern being
the others). The website is at http://www.gendepository.com. As you can see,
the Hupp section has hardly any information on it! I was looking at the
statistics of the website and since January 1, 2005, we've had 475 people come
to the Hupp section of the website! There is some
Ok, this was sent to me through one of my lists for archivists. NARA has some
really great microfilm that you can purchase and rent from them. Below 2
changes than NARA has made to their policies (1 for the better! other is a
price increase for purchases). Then there are some links from me, I had kind
of a hard time finding where to order their films and stuff, so at the bottom

Hi all. I know that this particular topic may not interest most of you, but
because it's about NC, I wanted to let everyone know.
In addition to the talk I'm giving about apprenticeship records in NC on
Monday, I will also be giving a talk the following week (October 17th) about
free African Americans in NC before the Civil War. I think that on one level
this is relevant to the Wilder's because I'll be talking about how these free
African Americans fit into the larger scope of society.
I've been wor
