Hi group,
I just wanted to circulate more info on my SIMONS line. I am thinking, but not sure, that this line may have been Huguenot. Any thoughts or advice is most appreciated, as I am new to Huguenot research. I'll soon be posting my DESHAZO line, which is a Huguenot line.
The info is below my signature. Thanks,

Hi all
Someone posted a while back about Shadrack SIMONS being related to Benjamin SIMONS (1672) family. His post is below.
I am wondering if anyone has heard of these lines? Shadrach SIMONS is my direct line; he's my 5g grandfather.
I look forward to hearing any thoughts on this. Thanks,
Lori

I am looking for any information on Jasper P Pillow who was born
somwhere
in England in 1710. He came to the United Stares in 1740. I have gotten
this
much info. What I would like to trace are Jasper's mother and father .
If anyone has information on the parents I would surely appreciate it.
One of the Pillow spellings
in French is Pilleau and Pilon. Pilleau is a registered (I believe)
Huguenot name..
from an Alexis Pilleau also registered is the Pillow name. Thank You

My grandfather was born in 1870 as William John Fugard, but changed the
family name when he came to the U.S. in 1890. My mother always told me
he was a descendent of French Huguenots and that he spoke French. He was
born in Bessbrook, Co. Armagh and his father was John Fugard &
grandfather Roert Fugard. The only Fugard names I have heard of in
France came from Normandy. The name means fire guard in French & is not
common at all. One woman with the spelling FEUGARD was buried in British
Columbia, Canada, bu
Jacqueline,
Do you know the whole story about Jean Peter Purry and the two groups
of Huguenots that he somewhat conned into coming to Carolina? Your
family was part of the second group (the first didn't even leave
port). If you don't have a record of it I will type and e-mail it to
you. Its absolutely fascinating (albeit long).

Thought I'd try all lists again for any info regarding this name.
Particularly looking for a Joseph CUPPLES who married Jane POLLOCK
early to middle 1800's somewhere in British Isles.
CUPPLES name comes from Northern Ireland: Down and Antrim; first family
record in 1650.
Most emigrations were to Canada and the States. From there: worldwide;
also to New Zealand (mine) and Australia.
It's an Anglicised Huguenot name.
Original could be e.g. Cappel, Souple, Supple.
What info about this name?

Would like information on Elizabeth VOXIEU (UOXIEU/VOSIEN).

Hi
I am new on the list and it seems pretty quite. Would like to now if
there is anyone on this list that may know if there is a descendancy
chart created for Jean CAVALIER the famous Camisard Leader of France? I
have not done much with this search as of yet. I am not sure how to
approach it. I do not know much about researching french material but am
hoping someone could give me suggestions.
Thank you in advance

Hi Louise
This is the site for the BC Archives...Births, Deaths and Marriages.
Deaths are from 1872-1980. You can order copies of the death registration
and death certificates from this site also. The death registration will
have quite a bit of misc. info on it...I have gleaned many a previousl
unknown family name from them.
No listing for the other spellings of the name.
Regards,

Glee,
There are a number of entries about the Peronneau family including an
illustration of a beautiful Marie Peronneau, 1700-1778 (Wife of Pierre
Bacot, 2nd) If you are going to want a copy of the illustration I
will simply include copies of the pages that pertain to your family.
If you already have the illustration I'll send you the entries via
e-mail.
Yes, I do lookups from all of the books on the list plus a hundred or
so very old ones that aren't listed.

Dear all,
A quick introduction.
I'm a descendant from Louis Le Riche that arrived at Cape Town 1698.
If there is anybody that knows anything that could help in our family tree
it would be much appreciated.
Also,It's quite difficult finding our family coat of arms.Anybody know where I
could find a picture?
I have included links which you might know or find interesting.

Hi all,
I am new to this list and thought I'd say hello.
I have one, possibly two, Huguenot lines:
DESHAZO (DECHAZEAUX) (late 1600s or early 1700s France>VA>SC>GA>AL>MS>TN)
SIMONS (1700s VA>SC>AL>MS>TN)
Is anyone researching these lines, or has anyone run across anything about them? Also, since I'm new, can we do a roll call of Huguenot surnames/dates/states people on the list are researching?
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you all,
Lori

Well, Friends, I know all of us have been otherwise preoccupied with the
terrible events of this past month, but it has
been several weeks since I posted the two parts of the dates I compiled in
an attempt to get the several Noah Serres straightened out. I am yet to see
a message from anyone who has good evidence to dispute my conclusion that
there were ONLY 3 levels of that name. This, in conflict to several
articles/ references to the contrary, which have been kindly sent to me. I
find these that I have r
