Hi John - Transcribing the 1885 Census involves downloading the actual image from a page Bob Kuehl has created, printing those pages out, typing them into a spreadsheet format that you also download and sending them back to me. Bob has created a page explaining all of the details you need to transcribe the pages accurately and all of the templates already so it should go pretty easily if you can find the time. The smallest township I have right now is 17 pages. There are about 30 entries on

Hi All - Well I didn't intend to send that answer to John to the list but now that I think about it, it's a good way to let all of you who are requesting more information the basics of how we will be transcribing the census. I am still going to answer each email that was sent. The information will basically be the same as what I sent to the list. Malinda McGregor married Leslie Namford BLACKMAN on Oct. 22, 1927 at Denison. She was born in 1897 (probably November) in Nebraska. Parents not known; living with grandparents Peter BRINKMANN and his wife, Maggie, in 1900 in Denison. Leslie died March 11, 1933. What happened to Malinda after Leslie's death?

Dead or divorced after 1930 census and before George's second marriage Sept. 4, 1934. She was daughter of John EBSEN and Freida THEDORIF. Lived at Kenwood at time of 1905 Iowa State Census.
