The 1900 census had errors due to

Hello,
I just joined this list. I'm looking for any information regarding my uncle, Otto Mahrann/Mahraum who, according to his death certificate was born in Denison, Iowa. He was born in 1890 and his father's name was Herman. I have no information on his mother nor his siblings if he had any.
Anybody have any thoughts as to where I could start looking for Otto?
Thanks,
Ernestine Wark, NJ
I'm planning a long-awaited trip to the Manila/Aspinwall area this
Spring to look into my COLLINS and McMAHON lines (Iowa and East Boyer
Twps) and I would like to know what libraries are in this area. I know
of the Norelius Library in Denison, and there is one in Manila too, but
are there others worth visiting? Is there a library in Aspinwall? How
about any local museums that would have reference materials? I will
have only one day to visit so I want to make the most of it.
Thanks,
Ron Collins
Kenmore,
