Go to www.usgenweb.com, then click on the state of Iowa, and then Crawford cnty, and then under search, type in mayor, and about the 8th entry down you will find the History of Charter Oak. Hope this helps. Craig City records beginning in 1895 show the following serving as Mayors:

Hello, I tried this before but I don't think the email went through. I'm just trying to get information on the name of the first mayor of Charter Oak. I had read on your website at one point (but now I can't find it) that his name was Mulheron and I think he was my great-grandmother's father because she lived in Charter Oak in the 1890's. Her name was Ella (or Ellen) Mulheron (then Atwood when she married Sam Atwood) and my grandmother was born there in 1897. If you can provide me with any information o
