Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, April l6, l896 Another genuinely smart hat is made of silver gray Neapolitan, as transparent as gauze. Through the twisted rope of scarlet velvet encircling the crown is run a huge bow of brownish lace, caught by glistening rhinestone ornaments. A similar twist of velvet forms a bandeau under the brim. Emer

18. Re: [IADECATU] HINTS FOR THE HOUSEHOLD. [1]
Hi Norma: It is sure good to have you back on the List!! Vicks was the cold cure in our household. They'd rub it all over our chests and warm the large white tea towels; then wrap them around our chests and safety pin them; just before we went to bed. So we'd sleep with that 'awful' smell all night. They'd even put a 'dab' of Vicks in their mouths and let it slide down their throats (my parents, that is) Thank the Lord, they never did that to us. My husband, coming from a strong German family of l7 chil
