There is a cemetery near Ackley where the burials are largely people from Ostfriesland (early ones at least). I seem to recall its being a Presbyterian church cemetery. The sign may have said East Friesland Presbyterian or something of the sort.

I'm not sure if this will help you or not. My grandpa's grandfather, Harry Naumann married a Louisa Lingelbach. she was his second wife. There was also a Caroline Louise Lingelbach mentioned. Maybe there's a link?

I researched at the Conrad Public Library's genealogy
collection and could find no reference to Schaefer's
Cemetery.
The one possibility I did find was Westfriesland
Presbyterian Cemetery located in German Twp. Sec 4,
89N-Range XVIII. Sec. 4 borders Butler County.
The land for this cemetery was purchased in 1874, but
it was not incorporated until 1926 when it became the
Westfriesland Presbyterian Cemetery. There were
burials there long before the incorportation in 1926 .

County in 1885. She oringinally settled in Lomira, Wisconsin. She adopted
her sister Verena's first born son, Christian Trepp. She would be my great

I am looking for anyone who has any information on Lars Peter Anderson and
his wife, Anne Elizabeth (Peterson) Anderson. They were both born in
Denmark and came to Grundy County before 1874. They had ten children
that were all born in Grundy County. They were both born in 1848. I would
like to know who their parents were and when did they come to America. Any

was married to Geert Arends Abbas (b. February 21, 1813 in Heerenland,

to her family's coming to the Grundy County, Iowa area.
