Does anyone know of a list of burial locations of the people who lived and
died there a in 1885?.

There is a W. Dudley buried in the Men's Reformatory Cemetery in Anamosa. Is

Does anyone on the list have information on a Edward Scully. He is
listed in the 1880 census as living in Madison. The following is the
census information on him.
Edward Scully 25, farm worker, born in IA. parents born in Ireland
Margaret, 20, wife, born in Scotland
Claude 2, born in IA
Leroy 1, born in IA.
I am looking for any information on this family. Edward and Margaret
were my great grandparents. If Edward was not born in Jones county then
I am sure that he would have been born in a neighboring
Oliver LOOMIS m. Sabrina HALL in New York abt. 1838. After moving about Iowa for a number of
years, the settled in Jones County sometime after 1860. There Sabrina and three of their children
died and are buried. Jo Ann Walters sent this info. to me:

Oliver remarried in Iowa. It appears he may have married Eliza Faragher. According to Jo
Chris in Bettendorf, Iowa,
We have a list at the Jones Co. Gen. Soc. library of past reformatory inmates.
W H Dudley died 10/22/1918 at 30 yrs of age. He was #6707 and he came from
Linn County to the prizon after being convicted of forgery(jail term 15 yrs).
There is a photograph on file at the prizon along with some physical
measurements and his fingerprints.
The reformatory will usually provide a copy of what information they have, if
you want to write to them.
