Earlene, I know that it has been a while since you posted this
information, but I have been tied up with other life matters. Right at
this very moment I am looking at a photocopy of a hand written invitation
by Mrs. Bessie Plotz. She writes: You are cordially invited to attend a
wedding shower Friday July 31 at 7:30 o'clock at the C.S.P.S. Hall in
honour of Evelyn Plotz and Ronald Wendall." (wish I had as lovely a
handwriting style!) My Great Aunt Mary Ellen (Plotz) Stastney saved

Hi,
I'm new to this list and am looking for William Osborn(e) and Robert Hooker families that would have lived in Linn Co. in the 1860's.
Is there anyone out there who has the 1860 census Index for Linn Co. that would kindly look up to see if a William Osborn(e) would be on it??
I would appreciate any help I can get on it. I'm thinking that maybe he and Mary Hooker daughter of Robert & Rachel Hooker would be there. I know that the Hookers weren't there in 1860 but thought maybe they were there sometime af
Can someone with access of the County Home Burial Site list please
look up Hazel Vivian PABLO (maiden name WEBBER)? She was transferred
to a county home from the Mental Institute of Independence in 1939.
She died around 1940 or 1941.
I have been searching for her resting place since I was 10 years old.
I never knew my own grandma. It's as though she dropped off the face
of this earth.
Thank you.

Hi Beth
You were throwing out names to reel in something, so
here is something.
I have a A.B. Mason, born Jun 8, 1850 in IA. died Oct
13, 1892 in Sac City, Sac, IA and buried there.
Married Catherine Brockman and they had 3 girls.
Grace, Clara and Helen.
Catherine moved to California after his death and she
died there in May of 1906.
I don't have anything else on A.B. I don't even know
his name.
Any matches anywhere?

Perhaps someone out there could help with with a little Pierce research
in Linn County. Were there three Pierce brothers who applied for and
received patent land in Linn County in 1843. The records I find, show
James M, Richard and William, each getting patent land on April 1, 1843.
I am looking for the son of one of them, Thomas S. Pierce. However, I
have no knowledge whether one of the three was the father of Thomas. It
is known that Thomas was born in England in 1822 and came to Linn County
as a child
