2. [IAMILLS-L] Mills County Cemeteries & Obits [1]
No cemetery records are online for Mills County. The Genealogy Society has a cemetery book that was written in 1975 but as far as I know copies are no longer available. They have a very nice genealogy room in the library at Glenwood where the society has all of their resources. They have many obits on file. They were very helpful to me when I visited them last summer. They do look ups. Here is the url for the genealogical research help list avail for Mills County. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iamills/genh

5. [IAMILLS-L] Re:CEMETERY LOOKUP [1]
Sue, Wish I had something to help you. The only Kirsch listed in the Mills Cemetery is Mary Kirsch, wife of John Little . She was b. in 1805 and died 1886 and buried in Saint Boniface Cemetery. Know that is not going to help you. I even checked Fremont (next county south). Nothing. Sorry. Cay Merryman
6. Re: [IAMILLS-L] Mills County [1]
Thanks for your offer, Mary. It would be nice to have help. After the note I sent to IAMILLS-L@rootsweb.com yesterday I have had about a dozen requests for look-ups of one kind or another. It proves there are people out there using the discussion list. It would help a lot if those who are inquiring could give me a time frame and perhaps a township or town to help me identify just who they are looking for. Time does not allow me to do a lot of guessing. Cay Merryman caym@infowest.com Mstwrt@aol.com wro

10. [IAMILLS-L] Dear Ancestor [1]
Here is a poem that you may enjoy. It was sent to me by a cousin who also works on genealogy. Dear Ancestor Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone. The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse Entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred
