David married Hannah KNICKERBOCKER in New York and they migrated to Iowa in 1863. They lived for a time in Buchanan County, Iowa, before moving to O'Brian County. David died in 1882. Hi Listers - I have located another copy of D.A.W.Perkins' 1897 "The History of O'Brien County Iowa." It's available on the internet, at the rare book site called Bibliofind. I have not heard of the Halbach name around here and I looked in the phone book for about a 75 mile radius and could not find any.
