1. December 2002 Obits [1]
Listers, The December 2002 obits have been posted on the Charter-Pierce Memorial Internet Genealogical Society pages. The URL to our site is: http://www.rootsweb.com/~iapcmigs/cpmigsl.htm That will get you to the home page and you click on Recent Vitals Link, then Obituaries. We are also in the process of adding burials to the St. Ambrose Cemetery, thanks to a generous donator who gave us an old listing from the early 1930's. Good hunting! 2. Glendale Cemetery Des Moines [1]
Folks, I would like to announce that the Charter-Pierce Memorial Internet Genealogical Society, based in Des Moines, Iowa (Polk County) has begun work on the Glendale Cemetery, the largest cemetery in Polk County, perhaps the entire state of Iowa. We are working on it one letter of the alphabet at a time and we have the main page for Glendale plus the A's which went on line this afternoon. We will make an announcement on the Iowa and Polk County Lists, each time we add a letter of the alphabet.
3. Samuel F. Ellis [1]
Hi all, I am new on this list and I would like to ask someone if they would be kind enough to see if they can find any trace of Samuel F. and his family in Des Moines. According to the 1920 census he was living there with his wife and 2 sons. What I am really looking for is where my father was born and his name is Kenneth W. Ellis. In 1920 the 2 children that were at home are Fletcher and James. The older 2 were not mentioned, Kenneth and Mildred. I will appreciate any information you can dig up for me.
