City bids on cemetery in way of O'Hare deal

The City of Chicago on Wednesday offered $630,000 for a 157-year-old
cemetery in the path of the O'Hare International Airport expansion
plan, even though a federal court has barred the city from acquiring
the land until it rules on a pending case.
The city initiated the proceedings to a
Alex "Arl" Tonne of Lombard. Alex "Arl" Tonne, 89, died Sunday, March
5. Arrangements are being made by the Brust Funeral Home, Lombard,
630-629-0094.
