Wesley Asberry Bilyeu married Katherine File, daughter of Henry Oliver File I and Mary Hagler on 26 May 1836 in Bond Co., Ilinois. He died in 1869 was buried in New Douglas, Madison Co., Illinois. Katherine lived there after Wesley's death and died in 18 April 1911.

Joseph BILYEU & Nancy BURDGE (or BIRGE) -- especially any sources & documentation (death certificates of thier children, etc.) that Nancy's maiden name was BURDGE (or BIRGE, or similar) and her place of birth. Also any info re burial.
Joseph BILYEU, b. 1760-1770 NJ, d. 1839-1850 probably Bond Co, Illinois, m. ca 1798 Nancy BURDGE.
Nancy BURDGE, b. 1770 - 1780 probably NJ, d. 1829-1840 probably Bond Co, Illinois.

Thanks for the info. Do you have, or do you know any else that has, any
sources, documentation, etc proving Nancy's maiden name, date, and place of
birth? Many BILYEU researchers say that Nancy' s maiden name was BIRGE and
that she was born in Vt. However, I have not found anyone that has a
source, etc. for that info.
Everyone agrees that Nancy's husband, Joseph BILYEU, was born in NJ, and
their 1st three children were born in NJ. The following is a strong
indication that Nancy was born in NJ:
